The Institute can confer prizes or other recognitions to researchers and organizations that distinguished themself in the study of the light pollution by carrying out researches of particular relief or that, with their actions, determined important progresses in the limitation of the light pollution and its adverse effects. The prizes cannot be conferred to Institute members. The Institute can collaborate with other agencies and organizations for prizes and awards.
